//publishing-services

Publishing services for independent studios

Four scopes of work, the revenue-share model they are paid from, and the boundaries we will not cross. Everything on this page is written to be read before you contact us, not after.

Multi-Platform Publishing

PC, console and mobile release planning, store setup and launch operations.

Destinations planned per title

PC / Console / Mobile

Release planning across PC, home and handheld consoles and mobile. We prepare store pages, age-rating questionnaires, build pipelines and patch cadence, and we run the launch calendar with you. Platform access always rests on the agreement between the rights holder and that platform holder.

  • Store page, metadata and asset preparation for each destination
  • Age-rating and platform submission material prepared with the developer
  • Build, patch and hotfix cadence agreed before launch, not after
  • Regional pricing and release-window planning

Global Game PR & Influencer Marketing

Press, creator and influencer outreach, community building and paid player acquisition.

Reporting basis

Raw platform + ad-network data

Wishlist and community building before launch, press kits and embargoed review keys, creator and influencer outreach, trailer and capsule iteration, and paid player-acquisition campaigns run for the studio under a written budget cap. Every paid creator partnership is labelled as advertising, as the Danish Marketing Practices Act and the platforms require. Campaign reporting is raw platform and ad-network data, not a dashboard of our own invention.

  • Press kit, embargo plan and review-key distribution per territory
  • Creator and influencer outreach — paid collaborations always disclosed as ads
  • Wishlist, community and newsletter growth before the release window
  • Paid player acquisition run against an agreed budget cap

Quality Assurance (QA) & Localization (L10n)

Functional, compatibility and certification-readiness testing, plus translation management.

Every defect ships with

Repro steps + build id

Structured functional and compatibility passes, device and controller matrices, certification-readiness checks against each platform current requirements, and localization management: string extraction, translation, linguistic QA and per-language sign-off.

  • Functional, regression and compatibility passes with written repro steps
  • Certification-readiness review against current platform requirements
  • String extraction, translation memory and linguistic QA per language
  • Accessibility and input-remapping checks as part of the QA plan

Funding Readiness & Publishing-Contract Guidance

Production budgets, recoup scenarios, funding applications and plain-language term-sheet walkthroughs.

Boundary

Planning support — not financial or legal advice

We help studios build a defensible production budget, model recoup and revenue-share scenarios, and prepare the material a funding body, platform fund or investor asks for. Berihime Studio does not provide investment advice, does not offer or arrange financial products, and is not authorised or supervised as a financial undertaking in Denmark or elsewhere in the EU. We also walk developers through our own term sheet clause by clause, but that is not legal advice: Berihime Studio is not a law firm, and we recommend every studio has the agreement reviewed by its own independent lawyer before signing. Where a proposal involves publisher funding, the amount and its conditions are set in the individual agreement: we publish no funding pool, cap or guarantee.

  • Line-by-line production budget with contingency and runway
  • Recoup and revenue-share scenarios modelled before signing
  • Preparation of material for public funding bodies and platform funds
  • Plain-language walkthrough of our own term sheet before you sign
  • Boundary: no investment advice, no legal advice, no guaranteed outcome

//revenue-share

Revenue share, recoupment and developer support

The principles every Berihime Studio term sheet is built from. The individual signed agreement governs; these are the defaults we start from and will not quietly move.

What "net receipts" means

Revenue share is calculated on net receipts: the money actually received from a storefront or platform after that platform commission, refunds, chargebacks and any transaction taxes it withholds. It is never calculated on a list price the studio never sees.

What is recoupable

Only costs itemised in the agreement and approved in advance, for example marketing spend, QA, localization or porting that Berihime Studio funds. Recoupable costs are capped in writing. Our own overhead, staff time and office costs are never recharged to the developer.

Who owns the game

The developer keeps ownership of the game, its source, its assets and its trademarks. A publishing agreement grants a licence to publish and market within an agreed territory, on agreed platforms, for an agreed term. We do not take an IP assignment as a condition of publishing.

Reporting and audit

Sales and revenue statements on a fixed schedule, showing gross, platform commission, refunds, recoup applied and the balance due. The developer may audit those statements on reasonable notice, as set out in the agreement.

Exit

Termination rights on both sides, written into the term sheet: what happens to live builds, store pages, unspent marketing budget and unrecouped costs if either party walks away.

No submission fee, ever

Pitching costs nothing. Berihime Studio does not charge developers to read, review, list or consider a game, and does not sell placement, coverage or a publishing decision.

What we are not

  • We do not provide investment advice, do not offer or arrange financial products and are not authorised or supervised as a financial undertaking in Denmark or elsewhere in the EU. Pillar four is planning and application support only.
  • We do not claim to be an authorised partner of any platform holder, and we hold no storefront accreditation. Platform access rests on the agreement between the rights holder and that platform.
  • We publish no funding pool, funding cap or guaranteed outcome, and we make no promise about sales, wishlists, revenue or placement.
  • We do not charge developers to pitch, to be reviewed, to be listed or to be considered, and we do not sell coverage or a publishing decision.

Illustration only. Every figure above is calculated from the values you set, in whole euros. It is a planning tool, not an offer, a quote, a forecast or a promise of sales, revenue or funding. Real terms are agreed per title in a written term sheet, and actual storefront commission, refund rates and withholding taxes depend on your destination and territory. Berihime Studio gives no investment advice. The pitch-readiness score is a self-check, not an assessment, and says nothing about whether a game will be signed.
